Subject: Vacant Positions (Funded)
Per your request, attached is a list of funded vacant positions, which have been vacant since
April 30, 2002. A total of 50 positions for salaries of $964,978 were vacant during this period.
Eight departments/funds were included with Fire, Parks and Recreation and Police having 42 of
the 50 vacant positions. Fire and Parks and Recreation's vacant positions included temporary
positions of 4 and 19, respectively.
Please be aware that (1) the vacant positions may be filled, (2) budget salaries may be different
when filled, and (3) positions temporarily filled with temporary assigninents or other personnel
methods. These positions could have been filled during this period.
