Aloha,
I was very disappointed the Cliftos project passed
its first reading today. Adding more salt to the wounds
the second deciding reading on Cliftos was denied to be
held in Kona.
I was lessening my stance on splitting Hawaii County,
but incompetent voting on this project is causing me to
rethink my position. It seems the county council as a whole
does not get it. There is a infrastructure problem here
in West Hawaii and this project will exacerbate the situation.
I live near where this project is going to be built. I don't
want 300 hotel rooms or a lazge shopping complex neazby
further clogging up Queen Kaahumanu Highway. I hope you
will re-consider you vote when you vote again on this project
on May 5th.
