Re: Acceptance of Donations
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which authorizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and with
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donations:
Monetary donations of $50 and $20 to the Department of Parks & Recreation, to cover
expenses of the Recreation Division's Annual Biggest Easter Egg Hunt, by Mr. Edward
Fukuda, dba Kandi's Drive Inn, Inc., 56 W. Kawailani Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720 and by Mr.
Itsu Kitamura, Itsu's Fishing Supplies, Inc., 810 Pi`ilani Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720,
respectively.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donors.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.
