Dear Mr. Chairman and members:
The Hamakua Safety Council, at_.its meeting on September 9,
2003, discussed and supports the closure of Pakalana Street
in Honokaa from 7:00am to 2:00pm on school days.
Students and traffic are arriving earlier than in the past due
to a time change in school hours. The current sign should
be changed from 7:30am to 7:00am to 2:pm for the continued
safety of the students at Honokaa High and Elementary Schools.
Safety is our concern and the change should be done immediately.
Yours very tr y,
