RESOLUTION NO. ~
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF TWO (2) MOTOR VEHICLES TO
THE HAWAII COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Electric Light Company, Inc. has donated two (2) of its 4WD one ton pick-up
with utility body trucks to the Hawaii County Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, these 1996 and 1997 model year vehicles, with a total value of $12,900, will be used as
utility vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THERI=FORE, ~E IT RESOLVED I3Y THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
13E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution and a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr.
Warren Lee, President, Hawaii Electric Light Company, Inc., P.O. Box 1027, Hilo, Hawaii 96721-1027,
acknowledging this generous donation.
