This <br /> projtct if allowed to go forty dd,it would be direct defiance of Hawau's comprehensive Ulan, <br /> and it would contribute st~m~candy to the numerous existing p blems fat' Hawaii Island. <br /> O'oma holds archeological treasures including the aacient Ala I~ahakai irail~n addition, this <br /> beach is one of the last publicly accessible coasts in West Hawaii. <br /> The Council would be directly responsible for acting in opposition to the planning document <br /> designed to guide future dove opment and ignonu- <br /> g the votce of the majonty of ctgzens is West <br /> Hawar`i. <br /> In addition to acounter-intuitive and uunecessary development that could impact valuable ocean <br /> resources, including significant eeononuc investments at the adjacent facility at NEHI.A, <br /> KAHEA is also concerned about the civil ~tocess of hearing this proposal in Hilo. The bill <br /> before you should be heard in Kona, as ihrs project would directly impact the people and <br /> resources of West Hawaii. <br /> Please do the tight thing for our future generations.
