Gentlemen:
As a homeowner and a businessman in the community, I would like to offer my support for
the referenced project and request that you vote for it when it next comes before you. The
handful of people against this project represents a noisy minority and not the silent
majority in favor of it.
I believe that the project complies with the General Plan and the Kona Regional Plan and I
think the Council should act to support plans for the area and pursue regional roadway
improvements, rather than stopping development that is consistent with the existing plans.
Also, by approving this project, you will insure that needed improvements are made to the
regional water system, which is very much in trouble without the new Waiaha water
system improvements. The developer is dedicated to go forward with that water plan
primarily because he will need it for this project if approved.
Further, this project will contribute its fair share payments needed to help with the local
improvements that the few squawkers are complaining about.
Please vote in favor of it, mahalo.
Very truly yours,
REGENCY AT HUALALAI
