Subject: BILL 270
Dear Council Members:
As a concerned citizen of Hawaii County, I (and many of my friends) applaud the introduction of, and urge your
support for Bill 270, which will allow voters to decide whether to create a dedicated, permanent fund to protect our
island's fragile environment, native culture, and natural beauty. That protection, which will benefit our residents,
our visitors, and our tourism-related businesses, both large and small, has been lacking and is sorely needed.
Sincerely, and with aloha,
Joel Gimpel
