I urge you to support Bill 270, which wlll establish a permanent Land Protection Fund for the Island of
Hawaii. Most of the Island's economic activities depend on a healthy environment aad the unique
cultural rosources, which are deeply connected to and depend on a healthy environment
According to the poll recently conducted by the Trust for Public Laude, them is significant support for
such a fund. Everyone with whom I have discussed thie bill enthuaiastieally supports it.
I encourage you to approve Bill 270.
