The list of reasons is long and obvious; all pertain to continued poor plauaing, traffic congestion, and already overburdened iafrastruetnre. To continae to operate in this tasbion is to compound the errors of the past, and i9 not in the best interest of the County of Hawaii or its cirizeas. T am especially displeased at the proposal to connect with Huahrtlai Road to the snnth. This is only an invitation to all traffic traveling make! to utilize Nant Kailas Drive, with it's stop Ilght, for egress onto Queen Ka'shumaau Higbway. This will increase traffic far more than the proposed subdivisions. Farther development will open access to as yet undeveloped parcels, which, in the absence of a waster In an, will follow the path of least resistance, and include cheap connectors through to Nani Kallua drive for access. What i~ needed is access to the north - to Henry Street, or Faisal Road. Such a connector most be a condition of any development in this area.
