SUBJECT: HOUSE NUMBERING BILL
CHAPTER 14, ARTICLE 14, ADDRESSES
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you we support this proposed draft to
Chapter 14, Article 14, Addresses, Sections 14-79 through 14-90, of the Hawaii County
Code. We have participated in the preparation of this house numbering bill and request
your support in its passage due to the following reasons.
The services of our officers are frequently requested in situations where an expeditious
response is not only requested, desired, and expected, but also crucial. However, many
times our response is delayed, much to the frustration of and detriment to the public due
to the difficulty encountered by the officers in locating the building or residence at which
the caller is located. With passage of this bill, a quicker response will be realized.
I humbly ask for your full support in the acceptance and passing of this bill.
Should you have any questions, please call Major Ronald Nakamichi of our
Administrative Services Division at 961-2261.
