Deaz Councilman Reynolds,
Mr. Donald Leopoldino and I request that we be granted the opportunity to appeaz before
the Environmental Committee at the next meeting to express our concerns about the
following items.
? The need for a review on the Solid Waste Tipping Fee Increase.- There was
no signature on the document informing the haulers of the upcoming increase.
? Why aze only the Hilo and Kona businesses paying the tipping fees and not
the businesses or County and State agencies in the Glenwood to Milolii,
Hamakua, Lapahoehoe, and Honokaa azeas?
? Waiving of tipping fees for Non-Profit organizations.
? Green Waste monies used for tipping fee.
? Keaau Sort Station-
1. Where is the $60,000.00 for the new bid coming from?
2. Questionable amount of tonage for the recycled materials. Need weight
review.
