Dear Mr. Safarik:
We are concerned citizens writing to ask for your approval of the
Revised Sign Code that will come before the Public Works Committee on
June 1.
We feel it is important to keep illegal signs from popping up and
establishing themselves all over the island. A case in point are the
proliferating sandwich board signs and others attached to fences and
rock walls here in Kailua Kona (and elsewhere all over our island).
Obviously the current sign code does not work as indicated by the above
examples. The revised code is fair and easy to understand and to
enforce. Please ensure that it is approved.
Sincerely, e / ~ ~ ~Q
