Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Ms. Carol S. Kitaoka of
Council District 7 to the County of Hawaii Mayor's Committee on the Status of
Women. Ms. Kitaoka is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. She is currently a Deputy
Prosecutor with the County of Hawaii's Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.
Ms. Kitaoka states that she is a member of the Democratic Party.
She will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2007, replacing Ms. Shawn
Nakoa, whose term expired on December 31, 2003.
