RE: Communication 647, Bill 280 -Business Improvement District
Dear Chairman Chung:
The Hawaii Island Economic Development Board would like to express its
support for Communication 647, Bi11280 to establish a Business
Improvement District for Kailua-Kona. -
We believe that all of us recognize that the village of Kailua-Kona needs to
be revitalized. This bill will address this need by providing a framework for
the property owners and businesses in Kailua-Kona to work together to
build a more positive image for both residents and visitors. It provides the
means to improve commercial activity and thus provide new jobs and a
better economic environment in the area.
Please pass this important Bill for the benefit of the Kailua-Kona
community and all of us who live and work on the Island of Hawaii.
