Re: Bi11238 (Draft 3) -The Capital Budget
Dear Chairman Arakaki and Mister Konishi:
I am returning Bill 238 (Draft 3) to take effect without my signature. As with the operating
budget, I am extremely concerned that the funding for the next phase of the proposed Sort
Station was removed by the Council. The Sort Station is a critical element in our County's
solid waste program, and I cannot approve the budget for that reason.
