RESOLUTION NO. 0~ 0~
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE
THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR MULTI-YEAR LEASES FOR TWO (2) COPIERS FOR THE OFFICE OF
THE CORPORATION COUNSEL
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year lease agreements for five (5) years for
two (2) copiers for the Office of the Corporation Counsel and its Family Support Division; and
WHEREAS, the leases of their two copiers currently in use will be expiring in October 2004; and
WHEREAS, obtaining a lease on a newer, more technically advanced copier will increase staff
productivity via faster digital copying, scanning, and network printing and will allow them to keep up with the
increased demands placed upon the offices.
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year lease agreements of two
(2) copiers for the Office of the Corporation Counsel.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
