Dear Mr. Jacobson:
Upon receiving input from staff and officers of the Puna District, it is to the Hawaii
Police Department's benefit that the road connecting the Orchid Land Estates to
the Hawaiian Acres Subdivision remains open. This route makes for a faster
response from Pahoa to any incident occurring behind Hawaiian Acres. It is our
understanding that the Fire Department also uses this route for response to
Hawaiian Acres.
