To the County Clerk;
I spoke with the Building Department and them informed me to write you to ask for a
variance in the size of sign to be installed at my new business. I am in the process of
building a Bed & Breakfast for the handicapped on Wainaku Avenue.
I myself am legally blind and can see shadows. I really like the shape and size of the
Wild Ginger Inn's sign because it is big enough to see to be able to identify there is a sign
and approximately where you are located. I feel this would be the appropriate size I
would need in front of my property.
It would accomplish two things: many of the handicapped clients would be able to tell
where they are staying and the traffic flowing by would be able to read it clearly so they
do not stop or hinder traffic.
I have enclosed a sample drawing of the sign and size so you can review it. I am hoping
to hear back from you so I can continue my building process and place a sign on my
property.
