Dear Chairman Arakaki,
This letter is to voice our support of the proposed
relocation of the Hawaii Community College to the
Downtown Hilo area.
As landowners in the Downtown area we see this
as an important move to the revitalization of the Downtown
area which has seen an exodus of business and foot traffic
from the Downtown Area.
Having this campus within our borders should serve as
the catalyst to renew the Downtown area. It is also
important to this community to support this project
and to move ahead as quickly as possible for lmplementation
before further deterioration to this area occurs.
