Re: Operating Budget
The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs -Safe Communities Program is
providing an additional funding of $50,000 to the Hawaii County Police Department for
its Occupant Protection Program. This seatbelt enforcement grant will be used to
conduct more seatbelt roadblocks.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the
additional funds into the Occupant Protection Program account and bringing the total
grant appropriation to $100,000.
