This increases the federal funding for this existing project to $16.4 million. This project include widening of Kuakini Highway within the project limits, concrete curb/gutter/sidewalk, paving, drainage improvements, retaining walls, traffic signal improvements, and utility relocation. This additional appropriation is being requested to cover anticipated construction bid amount, cost of construction engineering/management, and possible future costs such as increase in utility costs and change orders due to unforeseen conditions. Additional information on this project's funding is reflected on the attached Project Data/Financial Impact Statement. B. BACKGROUND AND SUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): Bids were received on April 15, 2004. We are now waiting for State DOT and FHWA concurrence to award. The current Federal appropriations are $6.4 Million in 110-399-5396.47- 115, $3.2 Million in 110-399-5396.64-115 and $0.8 Million in 110-399- 5396.12-115 for a total sum of $10.4 Millions.
