I would like to request that the Hawaii County Council ammends the Resolution of
Determination to the proposed Kona Coastview and Kona Wonderview water
improvement district to exempt and delete prorated project assessment cost for property
owners on County water with County meters within this district.
Monies paid for years by metered property owners to the Hawaii County Department of
Water Supply has supported the operation, improvement, and maintenance of the County
of Hawaii Water System islandwide. Assessment of additional fees to metered property
owners is unfair. It is my opinion that owners of properties within Kona Coastview and
Kona Wonderview subdivisions, North Kona, Hawaii currently on County of Hawaii water
with County meters be exempt from any and all cost assessed to the proposed Water
System Improvements pursuant to Resolution No. 197-04 and not be included in the final
project cost assessment.
Your ammendment of Resolution No. 197-04 exempting and deleting property owners on
County water with County meters from assessed project cost within the Kona Coastview
and Kona Wonderview Water System Improvement District is greatly appreciated.
