Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members: ~
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Karolyn P. Lundkvist of Council District 5 to the
Hawaii County Police Commission. Ms. Lundkvist is an eight-year resident of
Hawaii and is an accountant with Lundkvist Aviation. Ms. Lundkvist currently
serves as the president of the Rotary Club, and is a past officer and current
member of the Hilo Association for Family and Community Education. She also
is a past member of Teenfourk. Ms. Lundkvist states that she is a member of the
Republican Party. If confirmed, she will serve a term to end on December 31,
2008, replacing Mr. Walter Moe, whose term expired on December 31, 2003.
