RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF FIFTEEN (15) FIRST
RESPONDER MEDICAL KITS AND THREE (3) MEGA MEDIC KITS TO THE HAWAII COUNTY FIRE
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Ocean View Community Association, Inc. has donated fifteen (15) First Responder
Medical kits and three (3) Mega Medic kits to the Hawaii County Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, these kits, with an estimated total value of $3,000, will be used by the Ocean View
Volunteer Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
13E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution and a letter of appreciation be sent to the
Ocean View Community Association, Inc., P.O. Box 6016, Oceanview, Hawaii 96737, acknowledging this
generous donation.
