Aloha Mr. Jackobson, although still uncertain, I've been informed by the County Council
office that you represent my land interest, in particular, taxation of my property in Kopua
Farm Lots in Mountain View.
I've just learned about the proposed property tax increase for this area. I'm unable to
attend the meeting but I would like to pass along my concerns. I'd also like to better
understand your views on the matter but unfortunately, we've never met.
I'd like to urge you to prevent any further tax increases. I hope we can work together to
preserve some of the land's natural beauty while working to reduce the taxes for these
unused lots. I'll be focusing on getting preservation grants and hope you'll be serving our
best interest. At least I hope this is what I expect. I'll check back in with you once your
phone line is available again.
I'm a bit upset that I wasn't informed of the County Council's plans sooner. If you don't
mind, please add me to your mailing list so I can be better prepared to address any
changes to the amount of money anyone on the Council thinks I should pay for
maintaining my land.
