Subject: Vote NO on Clifto -the rationale
I realize that this a mail is pretty much doing something futile "into the
wind" but I must urge all of you to disapprove the Clifto project for the
obvious overriding issue of increased traffic congestion. In short, you
have already approved thousands of units not yet built. Each one is
associated with more automobile traffic. Each construction unit, regazdless
of type,adds to today's gridlock. Life on the roads is very difficult even
if you did not add a single new automobile.
It does not really matter if the Clifto project is all hotel rooms or all
low income housing. The only difference will be the average age of the
automobiles added to our overcrowded highways.
You have a chance to prove that county government can begin to be
functional for West Hawaii. West Hawaii is a mess, please don't add to
it.
