WHEREAS, Mike and Sandy Kroll has donated a dressage arena to the Department of Parks and
Recreation for use at the Pana'ewa Equestrian Center at the Pana`ewa Recreation Complex; and
WHEREAS, the arena, with an estimated total value of $4,000, will be used for a variety of dressage
events; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, Tf~EREFORI=, ~E IT RESOLVI~D 18Y THi= COUNCIL Ole THIS. COUNTY OF ~IAWAI`I that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation of equipment.
13E iT FURTHEi~ RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mike and Sandy Kroll, 5024
Vernon Springs Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30338, acknowledging this generous donation.
