I wish I had your e-mail address to write to you directly.
I hope that you have been hearing the voices of Kona's residents regarding
the desperate need to prevent unplanned development here that will further
crumble our local traffic situation. Today it took 1 hour and fifteen
minutes to drive from Kailua-Kona to Kealakekua. That's downtown to the
hospital. Awful!
Clifto's will make it worse. The airport to Kailua-Kona now takes a half
hour in the afternoon. It used to take 8 minutes. Please vote against
Clifto's project in Kona.
There is NO reason that I can see to vote for it. If you know of a valid
reason, one reason, let me know and I'd be happy to reconsider. (And don't
say "jobs" please. Saying that in Kona is like saying that Hilo could use a
sewage processing plant on the main street of town because it would create
"jobs.". A methamphetamine factory would also create jobs.)
