Re: Operating Budget
On July 23, 2004, the Hawai'i County Council adopted Resolution 209-04 which authorized
the County of Hawai'i Fire Department to accept funds in the amount of $250,000 from the
United States Department of Interior National Park Service. These monies are to be used
towards the purchase of a structural fire engine for Fire Station 19 (Volcano). The
additional County funding needed to complete this purchase is included in the current
operating budget for the Fire Department.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending this year's Operating Budget by appropriating
the Department of Interior National Park Service's funds for the Volcano Fire Truck.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Fire Department.
