Subject: Resolution to Enter Into Multiyear Lease of Copier
Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
Attached is a resolution that would allow the Mayor to enter into a 5 year lease for a copier for
the Kona Mayor's Office. The present copier breaks down frequently and the technician
states that it can no longer be repaired because of its age and condition. Although it is now
over twelve years old, rental and usage payments still exceed $168 a month. By leasing a new
machine for $58 a month, we will have increased office efficiency as well as save money.
