Dear Dr. Holschuh:
This agency respectfully request your convening a hearing on the needs for human
services, particularly in regard to transportation for the low-income elderly, low-income
pre-school children, and the disabled.
We will be terminating employment of six (6) drivers effective September 30, 2004, due
to unexpected rise in gasoline price and vehicle repairs, drastic reduction in Medicaid
reimbursements from $200,000 receivables to $53,000 and the high cost of health
insurance premiums for employees.
We strongly feel, with the help of your committee, we will reach consensus on finding
solutions to the problems.
