Re: Operating Budget
The State of Hawai'i Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program, has
authorized a $16,800 Repeat Offenders Project Grant to the Hawai'i County Police Department.
These grants funds will be used to reduce major traffic crashes and fatalities involving drivers with
no valid driver's license.
Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawai'i
Department of Transportation for this grant.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this
$16,800 Repeat Offenders Project Grant.

To enter into a contract with the State Department of Transportation Public Affairs-Safe Community Program
under the HCPD Repeat Offenders Project Grant.
