SUBJECT: Bill to Amend Ordinance No. 04-59 to Increase General Obligation
Bond Financing of Transportation Projects
For your consideration, attached please find a bill to amend Ordinance No. 04-59 for the
purpose of adding $5,000,000 in authorized issuance and sale of county general
obligation bonds to fund:
¦ 3 park-and-ride facilities in Puna, South Kona and North Kona $1,500,000
Sand Gulch bypass road in Hamakua $2,400,000
¦ Laupahoehoe emergency access road $ 100,000
Transportation enhancement projects in Hilo $1,000,000
TOTAL $5,000,000
