RE: Bill No. 320, Draft 2
Home Exemption
This is to forward Bill No. 320, Draft 2, which was the result of the following amendments made
at the October 4, 2004, Council meeting:
1. Delete Section 19-7 1 (a)(2)(C) to allow a more flexible filing deadline for home
exemptions.
2. Amend Sections 19-71(a)(2)(E) and 19-71(b) to allow a person living on property, a
portion of which is used for commercial ag purposes as permitted under chapter 205-2(d)
and 205-4.5, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to file a claim for a home exemption.
