Hi Meqan -
In response to Mr. Tyler's inquiries:
Late billings is in reference to State DOT administrative service charges. We have been surprised wit a few bills from the
State after a project has been closed.
Mohouli Extension - The original consultant contract for this project did not include the cost of necessary FEMA LOMAR
work for flood zones affected by the project. The estimated cost for this is $50,000. Because of the a ecialized nature of
the work, we will probably hire a new consultant,
Puainako Cxtenaion - The State DOT wants all easements to be converted to fee simple percels bef re we can turn over
the road to them. We are uncertain whether the State will pay for all additional land acquisition costs s ch as fees
incurred by our land agent or State DOT administrative services charges. Also, now that the extension is open,
operational Issues may arise that we may need address while the road is under County jurisdiction.
Kawail~ani Bridge - We are negotiating with a property owner who is requesting additional drainage improvements
because of flow changes caused by the new bridge.
Aill Highway - No specific concerns. However, based on the magnitude of tha projart and its pnfentia imparts, we do not
preclude the need for additional design work as the project progresses.
Should Mr, Tyler need any further clarification - please advise.
