For Rwlsw ? Plgss Comment ? PIsNa Ropy O Plps~ R~eyob Aloha, My wif and I have been visiting and now live on this beautiful island. We ha~e homes on both the Kona and Hilo side. We oppose the CI6to project 'because the infrastructure on the west side cannot support anothe large development. If development is tied to infrastructure development I am sure the developers will more than adequately lobby the stat to allocate funds for much needed and long overdue projects in west H wail. The mayor was correct in his veto. It was not a moratorium, just ,a mmon sense delay until the infrastructure can support more growth. There are beautiful new roads in Hilo, why cannot you delay the CI'rfto ject until west Hawaii catches up? Tease o not'override the mayor's veto! Also, y can't the meetings of such importance be held after work so the ple are not punished (miss work, take a vacation day)for particip ting in our government? Mahalo l{00•Ib Cemm. No. ~ Raf.
