Re: Acceptance of Donation
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, which authorizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and with
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawai'i County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donation:
$643.00 to the Department of Parks & Recreation; for programs at the Pana'ewa Rainforest
Zoo; by the Potluckers Golf Club, c/o Lenny Paik, 455 Naniakea Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to this donor.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.
