Dear Council Member,
I urge you to support Comm. 804 (Bill 350) which includes funds to update
the previous study done in 1990 and do a preliminary study of a sewer system
in Downtown Honokaa.
I am a building owner here on Mamane Street and it is literally impossible
for this building to install a septic system as there no land other than
what the building is located on. With so little time remaining before the
EPA deadline we would welcome the opportunity to take advantage of the
completed Honokaa Facilities Plan of 1990 and connect to the existing sewer
system.
We appreciate the adoption of House Resolution 84, HD1, during the last
legislative session requesting collaboration of all affected agencies to
develop a joint implementation plan, and Dr. Fred Holschuh's continuing
support.
