FROM: HARRY KIM, MAYOR
SUBJECT: LEGISLATIVE TIMETABLE
Now is the time to begin preparing for the 2005 Legislative Session. Please
submit recommendations for legislative action (changes to law) to Andy Levin by
Monday, November 8. You do not need to provide the actual language for a bill,
but you should include any available background information as well as your
rationale.
Requests for state funding of projects should be submitted to Bill Takaba by the
same date.
The final package will be decided upon by November 22, and transmitted to the
County Council by November 29.
Please be aware that as in past years, when it comes to funding for projects, we
will submit only a short list of our top priorities. On issues, there is no limit to the
number we will support.
