Re: Acceptance of Donations
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, which authorizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and with
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawai'i County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donation(s):
One hundred (100) metal folding chairs and a roll-away stand to the Department of Parks &
Recreation; for use at Aunty Sally's Luau Hale (replacing the aging chairs); by the Hawai'i
Ballroom Dance Association, c/o Ms. Carol Tokuda, 2320 Pi'ihonua Road, Hilo, Hawai'i 96720.
A monetary donations of $50 to the Department of Parks & Recreation, for maintenance and
improvements at 'Alae Cemetery, by Mr. Steve Hoag, 55-457 Naniloa Loop, LAU, Hawai'i
96762.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to this donors.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.
