District 3 Councilmember and Chair James Y. Arakaki, District 7 Councilmember Joe Reynolds, and District 9 Councilmember Leningrad Elarionoff have generously assigned discretionary fund monies to assist in implementing much needed park repairs and improvements within their respective districts. The following have been identified by the Council members as priority projects to which the funds shall be principally applied for their respective districts: District 3: $49,500 - Improvement to Pana'ewa Equestrian Center Arena District 7: $74,500 - Repair playground equipment & other improvements at Higashihara Park District 9: $30,000 - Repair facilities at the Kamehameha Park Complex $30,000 - Repair facilities at the Waimea Park Complex $20,000 - Tree trimming 7 landscape improvements for Waimea Trails & Greenways near Waimea Country School If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Parks and Recreation.
