Think. Study the whole matter of what eucalypt monoculture is and what its implications are or are likely to be. Assist the local community to do some serious community based planning, from the bottom up. Consult with people in the affected area. Be patient. Do not rush to judgment. Do not let Mayor Yamashiro rush you to judgment. Be daring. Dare to be creative. Do not believe everything that Mike Wilson and Mike Buck tell you about the eucalypt monoculture project. Seek independent advice. a~ 3(03 ~y ES ltet. To; Pr~ented~ KS }p C Ckel. I~te ~_2 2 199 Keep in mind that there is a very thin line between chipping and pulping: there are no enforceable guarantees being given by anyone--Mayor Yamashiro, Mike Wilson, Mike Buck, Governor Cayetano or any one else--that there will be no pulping at some time in the future. Avoid a major disaster. There are alternatives. There are plenty of alternatives. All we have to do is: stop, look, listen, consult with each other, find common ground. You can help immensely.
