Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
for the lease of six (6) truck tractors for the Department of Environmental Management
Solid Waste Division. Currently, three (3) of their truck tractors have high mileage, incur
major repairs, and are approaching the end of their useful life. The Division also needs
three (3) additional truck tractors to manage the increased quantities of solid waste and
to maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations governing solid waste
management.
The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the referenced
equipment and therefore request the authority to enter in a lease agreement for five (5)
years. Funding for the leases is budgeted in FY2004-05.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of
Environmental Management.

waste and to maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations governing solid waste management.
