Re: Resolution extending the council's sincere gratitude to Council Member Michael
C. Tulang for his years of service to the County of Hawaii.
Enclosed for your review and approval is a resolution extending the council's gratitude to
Council Member Michael C. Tulang for his years of service to the County of Hawaii. Council
Member Tulang has served on the council since 2003, as Vice Chair of the Committee on Parks
and Environmental Management, as Vice President of the Hawaii State Association of Counties
(HSAC), and on the HSAC Executive Committee and HSAC Solid Waste Management Task
Force.

Re: Resolution No. 278-04 relating to the council's gratitude to Council Member
Michael C. Tulang for his service to the County of Hawaii.
Pursuant to § I (g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii,
this written request is submitted with my approval that the above referenced matter be waived
from the Committee on Finance to the full council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
