Re: Resolution extending the council's sincere gratitude to Council Member J. Curtis
Tyler, III, for his years of service to the County of Hawaii.
Enclosed for your review and approval is a resolution extending the council's gratitude to
Council Member J. Curtis Tyler for his years of service to the County of Hawaii. Council
Member Tyler has served on the council since 1996 and was Vice Chair of the Council, Chair of
the Human Services and Economic Development Committee, and Vice Chair of the Planning
Committee. Council Member Tyler was the County's alternate and delegate to HSAC for six
years, and served as an eight-year member of NACo, in various capacities.

Re: Resolution No. 279-04 relating to the council's gratitude to Council Member J.
Curtis Tyler, III, for his service to the County of Hawaii.
Pursuant to § I (g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii,
this written request is submitted with my approval that the above referenced matter be waived
from the Committee on Finance to the full council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
