RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER AARON S. Y. CHUNG FOR HIS
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, AARON S.Y. CHUNG has been a Council Member of the
County of Hawaii since 1996 representing Council District 4, South Hilo; and
WHEREAS, during these past years, Council Member Chung has
participated on all standing committees and served as Chair of the Committee on
Finance for eight consecutive years (1996-2004); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Chung has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated his personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to
excellence, and outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general
public throughout the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Chung will complete his fourth
consecutive term of office at Noon on Wednesday, December 6, 2004, having
compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all council meetings
held during his eight years in office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it hereby extends its sincere gratitude to
Council Member Aaron S.Y. Chung for his many years of service and offers its
best wishes for his continued health, success and prosperity.
1~E IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to Council Member Aaron S.Y. Chung.
