RESOLUTION NO. 278 04
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER MICHAEL C. TULANG FOR
HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, MICHAEL C. TULANG has been a Council Member of the
County of Hawaii since 2003, representing Council District 2, South Hilo; and
WHEREAS, during these past years, Council Member Tulang has
participated on all standing committees and served as Vice Chair of the
Committee on Parks and Environmental Management (2003 -2004), Vice
President of the Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC) (2004), and
served on the HSAC Executive Committee and the HSAC Solid Waste
Management Task Force; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Tulang has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to
excellence, and outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general
public throughout the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Tulang will complete his term of office at
Noon on Wednesday, December 6, 2004, having compiled an exemplary
attendance and voting record for all council meetings held during his years in
office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it hereby extends its sincere gratitude to
Council Member Michael C. Tulang for his years of service, and offers its best
wishes for his continued health, success and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY IaESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to Council Member Michael C. Tulang.
