Good morning council members:
My name is Donald Ikeda and I am once again presenting
testimony against Bi11248 (Draft 4) and Bi11248 (Draft 5).
I oppose the University Terrace Subdivision because the developer
has not addressed the flooding, traffic, schools, and other problems
that will affect the present infrastructure with this large
development, even though they have reduced the project by a small
amount. This subdivision is East Hawaii's Hokulea or Cliftos
development.
The residents of District 2 are not against development but oppose
irresponsible development. The residents of district 2 are
requesting that the Council postpone the decision on Bi11248 Draft
4 and 5 so that we, the community are able to have a serrate with
the County and the developer. This will allow for awin-win
solution because the developer will have a development that the
community can support.
I am asking our Council member Mike Tulang to reconsider his
decision on this development. We, the residents of district 2
oppose this development and you are our representative.
Therefore, as our council person and our community spokesperson,
we ask that you listen to our concerns and help us by deferring this
decision and have the serrate with all parties involved.
