Dear Mr. Perry,
The Hawaii County Committee on Finance will hold a meeting on June 17, 1997, at
10:30 a.m. At that time, we would like to provide committee members an opportunity
to hear information in regazd to alleged improprieties in a recent Fire Department
placement exam. 'T'herefore, we would like to request your attendance, or that of a
union representative to discuss the fire exam in question.
The Committee on Finance is not investigating this matter, nonetheless, we are
interested in working together with your association, the Civil Service Department, and
the Fire Depaztment, to preclude this from happening once more.
